Food 2 Feed 2008!
On Thursday, November 20th, WHUR 96.3FM will present "Food 2 Feed," a 12-hour radiothon committed to providing needy families with a hearty meal this Thanksgiving. We will broadcast live from 6AM to 6PM at the Old Post Office Pavilion at 1100 Pennsylvania Ave., NW, Washington, DC. Drop-off cash donations or non-perishable food items and get the chance to meet your favorite WHUR personalities such as Tony Richards, Triscina Grey, Jeff Brown, Taylor Thomas, Patrick Ellis and many others. Howard University students will volunteer throughout the day, collecting donations and assisting with packing food donations for delivery. All cash and food donations will be given to Capital Area Food Bank, a non-profit organization that serves low income Washington area residents.
